This toolkit will assist you in initiating and implementing a Safe Routes to School program. It has been designed with the help and input of Arkansas schools and our ACH Arkansas SRTS Advisory Board.
The toolkit consists of three main sections.

Section A will provide you with background information about the National SRTS program and federal funding, as well as information about the early stages of planning your own Arkansas SRTS program. In this section of the toolkit you will also find information about funding and links to the grant applications.

Section B will provide you with tools for your SRTS program. We have included walkability and bikeability assessments, surveys, and media release templates. Please feel free to use these materials in your school when implementing your AR SRTS program.

Section C will provide you with our references and some fantastic resources for your SRTS program.
